to the first YU site devoted to DU
During the war in
Yugoslavia, NATO used depleted uranium fighting against the
Yugoslav army. It was the first time in history that DU was
extensively used in human friendly environment, on the soil where
the food is produced, and on territory that is densely populated.
For the time being, there is no intention from NATO to help
cleaning contaminated areas or even cooperate in any kind of
action that will improve our DU situation.
